Moisture-Proof Tips for ZCEBOX Plastic Distribution Box Junction Boxes in Humid Environments
Humid environments (e.g., bathrooms, basements, outdoor rain-exposed areas) are prone to reducing junction box insulation and causing terminal rust. ZCEBOX shares 2 targeted moisture-proof tips:
1.Strengthen box sealing protection
Ensure the box cover sealing strip fits completely (no gaps, no displacement) during installation, and tighten screws evenly in a diagonal order; if the box is installed in a rain-prone location, install ZCEBOX special rain shield (extending ≥10cm beyond the box edge) to form double protection, avoiding direct rain washing on joints.
2.Moisture-proof treatment for wire joints
After wire connection, wrap 1 loop of waterproof insulating tape (1.5 times thicker than ordinary insulating tape) outside the terminal, covering the connection between terminal and wire; for multi-strand soft wires, crimp cold-pressed terminals before connecting to the terminal block, reducing the contact area between wires and air and lowering the risk of moisture oxidation.
Proper moisture protection in humid environments ensures long-term safe operation of ZCEBOX junction boxes.
